    Default Office chair recommendations?

I normally spend a few good hours on my computer each day. My posture is terrible, I have a tendency to lean forward and rest my elbows on the desk to get comfortable. I never sit upright. I find it a hassle to force my body to push up against the backrest, it just doesn't feel natural.

I absolutely love gaming on my PC but the main issue I have is trying to get comfy, I just can't do it. I'm constantly changing positions and end up sitting really awkwardly.

Does anybody have any good recommendations for comfy office chairs that promote good posture? What chairs do you guys have?

(I can't afford those Herman Miller Aeron ones either lol)

So cheap horrible thing from Big W.

I've heard bad things about Officeworks chairs but am always willing to give them a go. The thing that worries me is that I think its my posture that needs to change as well. I can get the best chair in the world but if I'm not willing to sit properly in it its pointless.

A good place to start would be with a better chair though. The chair you linked got some pretty poor reviews lol

Maybe the new version sucks? The one I'm on now has been going for years.

On second thought I think it might be this one:

Hahahaha, based on the reviews the "bathurst racer" chair looks like a go-er.

How comfy is it? Has any of the leather started to wear out?

It's comfy enough that I don't have much of an issue with very long days and nights on it. Some of the leather (I don't even know if it's actual leather) is fading in parts, but I don't really care. It seems to be holding together fine for now as well.

Anybody bought off Milan Direct before? They have some nice looking cheapish chairs. Only problem is they don't have a physical store so I won't be able to try out the chair before I buy it.

    Considering one of these.

I'd recommend not cheaping out on an office chair. Go to a proper office supplier - not Office Works, and take your time finding a really good chair, choose your fabric, base, feet etc.

Aeron was rated as one of the best office chairs going around. One of the senior coders at my studio had them at his old studio. They cost something like 1-2 grand a pop but are apparently amazingly comfortable and good for your back. For the type of work it was a worthwhile investment rather than deal with back issues and sick days.
